A 28th minute strike from the ageless Jermaine “Teddy” Johnson took Tivoli Gardens FC to a 1-0 win over defending champions Montego Bay United FC at Wespow Park on Sunday in the Red Stripe Premier League. The win also took the West Kingston based team to the top of the league with a set of matches to go in the second round of the competition.

Glendon “Admiral” Bailey fully understands the mammoth task at hand as he tries to turn around the fortunes of struggling Waterhouse FC. The former champions have been mired in the relegation zone for much of the season, which led to Bailey taking over from Marvin Tate after thirteen games into the current Red Stripe Premier League campaign.

After struggling for the first half of the 2016-2017 Red Stripe Premier League season, Boys Town FC and Waterhouse FC will both be heading to the transfer market as soon as the window opens in order to strengthen their respective squads.

Both teams have struggled from the opening weeks of the season and are currently propping up the league after 17 games played of the 33 games regular season.
