After receiving a sound beating at home at the hands of leaders Portmore United in the Red Stripe Premier League a week ago, Waterhouse FC coach Glendon Bailey was hoping for a proper response from his troops away to Harbour View on Sunday night and at the end of the ninety minutes was pleased to come away with a clean sheet and a point.

Waterhouse FC were left counting their lucky stars while FC Reno was left fuming following a 1-1 draw in the Red Stripe Premier League fixture at the Waterhouse Stadium on Sunday. A Craig Foster header in the 66th minute was cancelled out by a Rodico Wellington penalty in stoppage time as the teams shared the spoils.

Arnett Gardens failed to gain significant ground on their closet rivals on Sunday, as a rejuvenated Waterhouse held them to a goalless stalemate in a hard-fought battle at the Drewsland Stadium.

Glendon “Admiral” Bailey fully understands the mammoth task at hand as he tries to turn around the fortunes of struggling Waterhouse FC. The former champions have been mired in the relegation zone for much of the season, which led to Bailey taking over from Marvin Tate after thirteen games into the current Red Stripe Premier League campaign.

After struggling for the first half of the 2016-2017 Red Stripe Premier League season, Boys Town FC and Waterhouse FC will both be heading to the transfer market as soon as the window opens in order to strengthen their respective squads.

Both teams have struggled from the opening weeks of the season and are currently propping up the league after 17 games played of the 33 games regular season.

The expected new coach bounce failed to materialize for Waterhouse FC at their Mini-Stadium on Sunday, as visitors Boys Town FC snatched all three points from the home team, clipping them 2-1 to reverse the 3-1 result from the first round at the same venue.
