The imperious Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) continued their relentless march in the Hero CPL T-20 competition, as they chalked up their 11th consecutive win in the tournament to blow away a toothless Jamaica Tallawahs team in semifinal one at the Brain Lara Cricket Academy on Tuesday.

A stroke filled century from T-20’s most exciting player, Andre Russell, led the Jamaica Tallawahs to the final of the HERO Caribbean Premier League T-20 Final last night when they defeated the Trinbago Knight Riders by 19 runs (by the Duckworth Lewis method).

Ruseell scored 44 runs to help guide the Tallawahs to 158/7 before returning to claim four wickets as the Trinbago Knight Riders were restricted to 139/8 from their 20 overs.

We look forward to interacting with the players as well as energizing our fellow Jamaicans to push this team to victory”, stated the excited Director of Operations of Caribbean Foods Limited, Mr. Christopher Ramson.

Late replacement Lendl Simmons blasted 83 runs off 51 balls to lead the West Indies to a nail-biting seven-wicket win in the last over against India in the second semi-final of the ICC WorldT20 Final after successfully chasing down 192 runs.

Simmons who was caught three times, but twice the bowlers had overstepped for no-balls and once on the boundary but Ravindra Jadeja stepped on the ropes before tossing the ball for Virat Kohli to take the catch. India paid dearly for those mistakes as West Indies set up a final against England on Sunday.

Basseterre, St Kitts: Yet another undefeated half century for Chris Gayle saw the Appleton Estate Jamaica Tallawahs to victory over the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Hero Caribbean Premier League. Chris Lynn also made a fifty for the Jamaican side as they got to their target with five balls to spare. Gayle won the game with a boundary as he finished on 72 not out after his side had been set 161 to win. While the Patriots also had two innings of over fifty from Martin Guptill and Marlon Samuels, the total they set was not enough to challenge Gayle’s men.
