Alia Atkinson continues to rewrite the history book with some fine displays at the World Short Course Swimming Championships in Doha, Qatar; December 3-7, 2014. She pocketed a silver medal on Thursday in the 50 metre breaststroke finals.

Atkinson in the process clocked 28.91 to break the national and her personal record of 28.94 She also won the Silver medal in the event two years ago in Istanbul, Turkey when she had clocked 29.67.

Alia Atkinson crowned herself in triple glory as she ended her FINA/MASTBANK 2014 World Cup series in fine style. Atkinson now regarded by many as the breaststroke queen, showed the world why she suffered only one defeat in this event, when she made a clean sweep of both events contested at the closing meet. The meet was staged at the November 1-2, 2014 at the OCBC Aquatic Centre

Jamaica’s swimming sensation Alia Atkinson once again showed what she is made of when she dived off in Victoria Park swimming pool on Tuesday's second and final day at the third stop at the 2014 FINA Swimming World Cup in Hong Kong.

The Commonwealth silver medallist reaped a bundle of medals, one gold, two silver and one bronze to add to Monday’s gold and bronze medals ending the meet with a tally of six medals over the two days.

This after another brilliant performance at the second meet in the FINA/Mastbank World Cup Series, held over the weekend at the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai.

Jamaica’s swimming sensation Alia Atkinson continued from where she left off at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, claiming two top podium finishes at the just concluded Doha FINA/MASTBANK Swimming World Cup 2014 in Doha, Qatar from August 27-28.

Alia Atkinson landed her first ever Commonwealth medal and Jamaica’s first at the Glasgow edition when she finished second behind Australia’s Leiston Pickett in the women’s 50m breaststroke yesterday. Corrie Scott of Scotland finished third in the race.
