Former Reggae Boy, Frank Sinclair, was earlier this week appointed head of Coaching Development at League Two club Port Vale.

Sinclair has been charged with the responsibility of preparing budding players to advance into the first team at the club.

The club announced his appointment on their twitter page on the 4th of August, saying, “we can now officially confirm Frank Sinclair’s appointment as Head of Coaching Development.”

While thanking the club for the appointment Sinclair outlined what he saw as his role at Port Vale.

“My aim within my role is to add to the solid foundations and infrastructure already in place and to deliver the core values of the First Team Management Staff and bridge the gap between the First Team and Youth Team, which in turn will filter down to the Foundation Trust Community Scheme.”

“I am really excited about the future and together making a difference,” he added.

Sinclair who made a total of 28 appearances for the Reggae Boyz, including at the FIFA World Cup in 1998, also played for Chelsea and Leicester City in the Premier League.
