A resurgent Reno FC claimed the FLOW Champions Cup title for 2014 when they beat fellow western club Montego Bay United 4-3 in what can only be described as an instant classic at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex in Montego Bay on Sunday. Reno FC has now earned the right to call themselves all-island knock-out champions after their exciting win over the defending premier league champions.

Reno got off to a dream start when red hot striker Craig Foster put them 2-0 up after just 5 minutes. Foster was brought down in the box after just 2 minutes and brushed himself off to score past Jacomeno Barrett in the Mobay United goal. Three minutes later he was on the score sheet again when he outpaced the Mobay defence to slot past an exposed Barrett.

But Mobay United hero Dino Williams responded with two goals of his own to pull his team level, scoring with his right foot in the 11th and his left foot in the 15th to the delight of the Mobay fans.

There were no more goals in the first half but on the resumption, the Foster-Williams show would continue.
Clearly bubbling with confidence after being a part of the Jamaican CFU Caribbean Cup winning team, Foster put Reno ahead again with just under a quarter of the game to play when his fierce shot hit the back of the net, comprehensively beating Barrett in goal.

Again it was a case of anything you can do, I can do it too as Williams found the equalizer, yet again when he bundled home for Mobay United just two minutes after Reno had retaken the lead.

Both teams then went in search of the winner but just when it seemed that the game was headed for extra time, substitute Dwayne Blake made his coach, Patrick Graham, look like a genius, when he produced a great finish on the half volley to win the game for his team in the second minute of time added on.

Reno walked away with $1.5 million dollars for their troubles and will now turn their attention back to the premier league where they currently sit in fifth place, tied on 14 points with fourth place Arnett Gardens.
