Chelsea continue to lead the league despite their surprise loss to Aston Villa last weekend but a win against Arsenal is crucial with favourites Manchester City six points behind with three games in hand. Chelsea was able to easily dispose of Galatasaray in the Champions League in midweek and will look to build on that momentum as they try to maintain the distance between themselves and the teams just below them.

With less than ten games left to the end of the season, both clubs will view tomorrow’s encounter a six pointer in what has been an intriguing contest all season. A win for Arsenal sees them cut the gap between themselves and the ‘Blues’ to just one point, while a win for Chelsea opens up an almost irretrievable seven points gap despite the fact that Arsenal have a game in hand. A draw gives the advantage to the other title contenders, second placed Liverpool, who are level on 62 points with Arsenal, and bookies favourite, Manchester City.

Liverpool challenge Cardiff in Wales and Manchester City host Fulham immediately following the game at Chelsea and the results of all three games could help to paint a clearer picture of who will remain in the title race.
