The agent of Mexican striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez, Eduardo Hernandez, has revealed that the 25 year old Mexican striker rejected the chance to move to
Valencia. Eduardo said that the interest from Valencia was concrete but Chicharito only wants to stay at Manchester United and help the team challenge for titles.
Chicharito has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford but only has his heart set on staying in Manchester. Chicharito has found playing time hard to come by since the arrival of Robin van Persie but is willing to fight for his spot in the team and help the Red Devils defend their title and challenge for the champions league.
Eduardo was quoted on goal.com saying: ‘Of course he wants to play more, to have more minutes, to participate more but the wants to do it with United, he wants to defend the title and go far in the Champions League.’
Eduardo went on to say: ‘The interest from Valencia was real. He had the chance to speak with the sporting director (Braulio Vazquez), but Javier, I reiterate, wants to stay at Manchester United, that’s the challenge. He is very grateful to Valencia and other clubs that have called him.’
Eduardo then made it clear that Chicharito is not motivated by money, he just wants to play and be a starter at United. He also mentioned that Chicharito is well aware that Manchester United is a very competitive club and that he has to work hard on the training ground and fight hard every day to play in every game
