After a sloppy start to the season, many thought that Manchester United were out of the title race. Three points from their first three games and things were looking daunting for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They have suffered defeats to the likes of Crystal Palace and Arsenal, both teams who are now currently sitting in the bottom half the table, with their other defeat to date being a 6-1 thrashing from Tottenham Hotspur, who now sit in sixth place. The Red Devils have also dropped points against Chelsea and Manchester City, both scoreless draws.

After not getting the desired results needed, Solskjaer may have been just thinking about closing the Old Trafford chapter of his contract. His team had been flying under the radar with sub-par performances from several integral squad players.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tactics of playing on the counter attack seemed have just run its course, with the Manchester boys struggling to break down teams who didn’t play as open and sat deep on the pitch.

However, adding Bruno Fernandes to the middle of the park provided some spark, ingenuity, and class in Manchester United’s attack. His individual brilliance and eye for a pass has lifted Manchester United’s attacking prowess.

Since their stunning 0-1 home loss to Arsenal, Manchester United have see a dramatic change in league form.

Unbeaten in their last seven games, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer boys have reduced the gap between themselves and titleholders Liverpool to just just five points after collecting 19 from a possible 21 points. They are also trailing second place Leicester City by a point ,with a game in hand.

It takes a bit more than luck to turn around a sinking season around and becoming possible contenders for the EPL title. Manchester United have now found themselves sitting in third place, despite not winning most of their games with dominating performances.

A win in their next fixture against Leicester on Saturday will move them up to second and have them trailing top of the table and defending champions Liverpool by two points.

Thriving on the momentum of convincing victories against West Ham, Southampton and obliterating Leeds United, this might be Ole’s season to capture the silverware.

With serious improvements from Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Edison Cavani among a few others, the Red Devils could be unleashing havoc on teams contending for the kings of England.
