Jamaican born and Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey was named the Europa League Player of the Week on Friday. The Bayer Leverkusen player was named the Player of the Week after scoring a brace against Slavia Prague in their Group C encounter on Thursday.

The Jamaican international had a very eventful first-half, scoring in the eighth and thirty-second minute, giving Bayer Leverkusen a two nil advantage going into the break.
Bayer Leverkusen were three-nil up in the 60th minute and Karim Bellarabi put the contest to bed in the ninetieth minute, scoring the match’s fourth and final goal.

With just four matches played, Leon Bailey has scored five times and has assisted twice in the Europa League 2020/2021 season.

The German side topped the Group C table with fifteen points ahead of second-placed Slavia Prague, who sits on twelve.
