Jamaica is once again making a trip back to the 16th Caribbean Netball Association (CNA) Jean Pierre Youth Championship slated for Barbados from March 31- April 9 2016.

The young Sunshine Girls last participated in the regional tournament in 2014, which they won convincingly in Antigua and Barbuda. They opted out of the tournament in 2015, under the former leadership of the Jamaica Netball Association.

Newly elected leader, Dr. Paula Daley Morris, has seen it fit to return to the tournament in which Jamaica will vie for tittle number eleven. Jamaica has dominated the tournament over the last decade, losing only once.

Barbados are the defending champions and will be looking to overhaul the second place finish to Jamaica in 2014. That was the fourth ever missed tournament for Jamaica since its inception in 1998.

The 12 member team includes (captain) Abigail Sutherland, Lori Daley, Zandria Cohen, Kamia Daley, Shadine Bartley, Latanya Wilson, Kimone Shaw, Christal Holness, Denay Thomas, Britney Elliot, Felecia Smith and Bittany Morgan.

The head coach role has been given to Marvette Anderson, with Winston Nevers named as her assistant. The team is set to depart the island on Thursday.
