Hughan Gray has been chomping at the bit while watching his team Waterhouse FC struggle from the sidelines in the Red Stripe Premier League.

Since returning to the island in November from playing overseas, the 28 year old has seen his team struggle week after week while remaining rooted to the foot of the table. He has had to remain patient until the opening of the transfer window to get clearance to play again in the RSPL.

The Jamaican international that plays as a right back cannot wait to get back on the field of play to help his team Waterhouse out of their misery.

“I am looking forward to going out there and showing my talent as usual and help my team to win games and come out of the relegation zone. We have to take it one step at a time, follow the coach instructions and work hard as a team,” Gray told Yardie Sports.

“It’s always difficult to watch your team from the sideline especially when they are not doing well and you know you can make the difference. I am looking forward to getting back on the field and help my team. It has really been good since working with (new) Coach Paul Young, in terms of the vibes and everybody working as a unit. I am sure we are going to make it to the semi-final, 100% sure,” he emphasized.

Gray, one of the fan favourites in Drewsland, will return in what is expected to be a fierce battle with the defending champions Arnett Gardens on Sunday in the first night game for the season at Drewsland.

Waterhouse has struggled to look organized so far this season and will be hoping that they can leave that behind them in 2015 as they try to start 2016 on a good note.
