The ISSA/FLOW Super Cup competition for 2015 will get underway on Saturday October 24 and comes to an end on Saturday November 14.

The second staging of this very lucrative football competition, dubbed the Champions League of Schoolboy Football promises to be bigger and better than last year and is built as a showdown between the best of urban vs the best of the rural.

The rural teams will be ensuring that they represent their territory better than the eight qualifiers did last year as they really failed to spark as a group, with only two teams making it to the quarter finals.

Only St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS), reached the semifinals in what was seen as a fairly one-sided contest between urban and rural.

The other DaCosta Cup teams making the Super Cup were Old Harbour High, St James, Dinthill Technical, Clarendon College, Garvey Maceo, Godfrey Stewart and Cornwall College.

This year only three of those teams will return to the spectacle, they are St James, St. Elizabeth Technical and Clarendon College. They will be joined this year by Petersfield High, Lacovia High, Port Antonio High, Vere Technical and Glenmuir High.

Matches will be played across three venues: Catherine Hall, Sabina Park and National Stadium.

Each of the 16 qualifying team stands to receive $25,000 with each of the 8 quarter-finalists set to take home another $50,000

The four teams making it to the semifinals will earn $100,000 each with the two finalists pocketing $200,000 each and the winner set to take home an additional $625,000.
The total prize package for the winner will amount to $1 million. There will be an individual ‘Golden Boot’ prize for top scorer. Jamaica College is the defending champion for the competition.

The draw for the tournament is scheduled to take place on October 22 while games will be played as double and triple headers at each venue on the various match days.
