Chadwick Walton led from the from for the Jamaica Tallawahs in their match against the St. Lucia Zouks in the HERO CPL on Tuesday night at Sabina Park. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 76 in a 119 run partnership with captain Chris Gayle, as he helped his team to a comfortable 9 wicket win in their first home win of the season. He thanked the fans for their support and hoped for their continued presence throughout the home run.

“It’s always a good felling to deliver in front of the home fans. I hope they can come out the next game and support us and we can put in a good showing.”

Despite being named man of the match Walton was left a little bit disappointed.

“I am a bit disappointed that I didn’t finish not out but it’s the nature of the game,” he reasoned.

The Tallawahs have never lost a game in the CPL at Sabina Park and Walton knows that the team will have to be switched on to maintain that unbeaten run.

“We are hoping that we can have a similar display, it is the game of cricket a game of glorious uncertainty but we are trying our best.”

The Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel will be the next opponents for the Tallawahs on Thursday starting at 6:00pm.
