The 19th staging of the KSAFA JackieBell knock out competition hits high gear this Sunday when Harbour Veiw FC face Barbican FC in the early kick off starting at 4:00pm and Waterhouse FC battle Boys Town in the second game at 6:00pm.

It will be an all Red Stripe Premier League affair semi finals showdown. This competition is not short of excitement, flair nor goals. Harbour lost 1-0 at home to Barbican in their last encounter the league and will enter the game with revenge on their minds.

They also drew 1-1 with Humble Lion on Sunday in the Red Stripe Premier League. They have been strong in the knockout version of the game tearing to shreds their opponents defence up to this stage. Being many time champions of this competition they will feel confident of getting the better of new comers Barbican on Sunday but will be aware of the upturn in form but the premier League stragglers.

However, they have hit a snag in the Red Stripe Premier League mainly because of lack of goals from decisive attacking play. Therefore, if they are to progress to the finals coach Andrew “Bowa” Hines will be looking for goals from his most potent attacking force of Ranique Muir and Mackauly Tullouch.

John Ross Campbell and captain Nicholas Beckett is responsible for generating goal scoring opportunities with their experience and ingenuity in the middle of the park. While the reliable Daminan Anderson and the rock solid Damarley Oliver will be summoned to keep Barbican at bay.

Barbican is hungry for success at the big stage and has a lot to prove. The young players have put Harbour View to the sword already and are hoping to repeat that feat.

As their motto suggest “WITH DISCIPLINE, WE SHALL NEVER GIVE UP” one will not expect them to role over and play play dead. Mario McDonald is expected to lead the charge while Jermaine Russell will shoulder some of the responsibilities. Whatever you have planned or wherever you plan to be make sure you are counted among the spectators because this will be a cracker.
