News broke last week, following a meeting involving the Jamaica Football Federation Hierarchy and its disciplinary committee and members of the legal team for embattled and sidelined footballer Jermaine Hue, that the athlete is cleared to resume his football career.

Hue was served a ban by the Football association authorities after deciding to take legal action against them following his ban from international football due to a failed drug test, which he served from September 2014 to may 2014.

Information reaching the public is that the Hue has been advised by his attorneys to withdraw both court actions they had filed in the supreme Courts last year and will now seek to bring an amicable end to the whole ordeal via the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). This scheduled to get going shortly.

Hue’s ban came by way of him reportedly using medication administered by then team doctor Carlton Frazer while on national duties. The medication reportedly contained the banned substance Dexamethasone.

Following his ban Hue sought compensation for his loss of earnings due to the negligence on the path of the medical team of JFF and also for character damage. He and his team of attorneys filed a lawsuit of US$10,000 from the JFF to cover for financial loss at the period of his ban. This did not go down well with the national football governing body and as such he was sidelined for taking them to the court.

The influential midfielder, could possible take the field as early as next Sunday for his local club Harbour view as they continue their march in the nation’s top football league.
