Struggling Boys Town and the out of form Cavalier SC will play in the opening game of an unusual double header at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex on Sunday in the Red Stripe Premier League. The game which begins at 3:00pm may prove to be a cracker as both teams are desperate for three points.

Former league leaders Cavalier could seemingly do no wrong up until recently, but three consecutive losses have seen their lead at the top whittled away and they now sit precariously in third position, one point and one place above champions Montego Bay United who have a game in hand.

The absence of Chevone Marsh and Oshane Jenkins, who were away at the CAC Games, left a big gap in their attacking game. Technical Director Rudolph Speid will be happy to have them back today and will certainly be throwing them right back into the thick of things.

Andrew Price was pleased with his team’s overall performance despite their midweek loss and will be hoping that another good performance can be turned into three points today. A win from today’s match would go a far way in relieving the pressure that must now be building at Collie Smith Drive.

One win, three losses and a draw in their last five games has been less than inspiring. Veterans such as Asrick Samuels, Daemion Benjamin and Marvin Stewart along with the young Shamar Nicholson will need to put in a good shift today to help their team get out of the drop zone.
