Jamaica College, the defending champions of the ISSA/LIME Manning Cup competition and only remaining unbeaten team in schoolboys football this season will be seeking to defend their title when they face former champions Charlie Smith High school at 4:00pm at the National Stadium today.

The Two teams have played some very attractive football and have shown that they deserve to be in this season’s Manning Cup final.

Charlie journey to the final had been based on bravery, artistry and determination. They displayed those qualities throughout the competition in each game. Charlie Smith has showed that they are not afraid to play anybody this season and with a never say die attitude of the Jerome Waite coached team , there could be an upset on the cards.

The Jerome Waite coach team does have some very discipline players in defense and midfield that have not given too many goals this season.

Odane Samuels, Bebeto McDonald, Lemmar Stewart and Chevon Crooks will be the players that will have to come up trumps if Charlie Smith should win a fourth Manning Cup title.

However, Jamaica College who will start favourites is a confident unit. They are undefeated thus far this season in all competition. They have won the first staging of the Lime Super Cup and will be looking for their second trophy comes Saturday. They do pay well and do not rely on any specific players. They have some very good attacking players and even defenders have been scoring goals for the Old Hope road based school. They are very composed on the ball and recover quickly when not in possession. JC have just conceded four goals this season in the Manning Cup and two of them came in the semifinals against Camperdown.

Captain and influential player Junior Flemmings, Raffique Bryan, Allando Brown and Sheldon Mckoy will have a big role to play if JC should make it title number two and to inch closer to winning all four trophies on offer this season.
