When Mckaully Tulloch hit the back of the net for Harbour View in the 75th minute on Monday night, it would prove to be the only goal in a crucial 1-0 win over defending Red Stripe Premier League champions Montego Bay United.

The three points put Harbour View into second place, tied on points with previous leaders Cavalier SC, as the club continued its steady climb up the table, after an indifferent start to the season which included a 1-0 home loss to Arnett Gardens on the opening day.

Tulloch for his part was happy to get the monkey off his back, “I am pleased to get the winner. It has been a while since I scored so getting the goal that got my team three vital points is quite pleasing for me. Getting it on a live Monday Night game makes it even more special.

“I wanted to get a brace. I promised my old coach Bertis Bell that I would score two for him on his birthday, but in the end, one was enough so I am happy for the team.”

The forward is all too aware that his strike ratio needs improving and already has plans to fix that problem.

“We have a two weeks break for the Caribbean Cup so I plan to put in some extra work on my finishing. I need to be scoring a lot more for Harbour View so I have made that my priority. Success only comes through hard work so I am prepared to do that.”

Tulloch’s three goals so far this season makes him second in scoring for the club behind Ranique Muir who has five.

Harbour View currently has 17 points, three less than leaders Waterhouse FC with 9 games played in the season and two left to go in the first round.
