“It’s an awesome achievement” says Coley

MIGUEL COLEY

Miguel Coley has become the first coach to lift the LIME Super Cup and he says it’s an awesome achievement for himself and his team.

Jamaica College defeated Holy Trinity 2-0 at Sabina Park on Saturday to become the first school to get their hands on the trophy and Coley, who took the time out to speak with Yardie Sports during the midst of the celebrations was a very pleased man.

Speaking with a broad smile on his face, the assistant coach of the senior Reggae Boyz said, “I am happy for the boys, I am happy for the school. We have done so much, we have worked so hard, the management, the assistant coach, the principal has backed up 100% and that is good and it is good that we can return with a trophy. Winning the LIME Super Cup in the hundredth year of the Manning Cup is an awesome, awesome, awesome achievement.

Coley is hoping the win will be a springboard for further success for the team and also for the boys as individuals.

“It is good (to be the first coach to lift the title) but I am more happy for the boys…it is for them to use this as a platform to excel and to understand that they can achieve anything, even if it is new they can go out and achieve it.”

JC is in the running to get three more titles this season and many people will be backing the True Blue to capture them all.
