JAMALCO ON TOP YET AGAIN

The Clarendon Juici Patties Senior Netball League saw a clash of the two Winston Never coached squads, Jamalco and Cable Pro going head to head for the crown. At the sound of the final whistle, it was the black and green clad ladies of Jamalco that were left smiling after copping their 10 straight title.

The 46-39 win by Jamalco over their sister team and rival at the Mineral Heights Sports Complex on Sunday was secured mainly through the efforts of their “twin towers”. Led by former National captain, Elaine Davis who notched 26 goals from 29 attempts and current Sunshine Girls shooter Romelda Aiken who made 12 from 14 attempts and Marsh Murray- Dixon who scored 8 from 9 attempts, the champions were able to seal yet another championship win.

Third place went to Denbigh Alumina who posted a 48-33 win over Hayes Supreme. Tanielle Roberts led the victors with a game high 27 goals.

Action in the C.N.A Junior division saw Hayes Contenders lifting the title after easing to a 28-10 win over Denbigh “B”. Optimist claimed third place after notching A 24-20 win over Girls Strikers.
