It is now official, according to Karen Anderson general manager of Netball Jamaica, Simone Forbes and Anna-Kay Griffiths have returned to the Sunshine Girls squad and will begin training with them soon.

Forbes retired from national duty after being banned for a drug violation while Griffiths took a leaf of absence after the 2011 Netball World Champs where Jamaica ended in fourth position.

Anderson also confirmed that Annette Daley has been appointed to the post of assistant coach of the Sunshine Girls. She joins Minneth Reynolds who was appointed to the post of coach after former national coach Oberon Pitterson-Nattie did not renew her contract with Netball Jamaica earlier this year.

The Sunshine Girls are back in training after taking a one month break post Commonwealth Games where they copped a bronze medal against England by four points.

The team is currently in preparation for the upcoming Fast5 Netball World Series in New Zealand from November 8 to 9.

The Sunshine Girls will play their first home series against a higher rated team come January when they face England who they defeated at the Commonwealth Games in the third place play-off.
