Minute Maid takes Football Factory Grassroots 3v3 Tournament

Minute Maid, one of the three best 2nd place teams to make it to the final of the Football Factory Grassroots 3v3 Tournament along with 29 group winners, defeated Ballaz Strikers one nil to win the inaugural tournament.  The tournament ended on Sunday afternoon at the Football Factory on Olivier Road in Kingston.
 
Calbert Coke captain of Minute Maid scored the only goal of the final.  He and his team mates described the win as a dream come true especially since they did not win their group.  
 
Minute Maid took home $400,000, Adidas shirts, medals and Coca Cola baskets while second place got $100,000 cash plus the other prizes.  3rd and 4th places received Coca Cola baskets and medals.
 
The tournament started on Saturday with one hundred and sixteen teams playing in groups of four on a roun robin basis.  All matches were played on a knockout basis on the second and final day. 
 
Nick Zaidie, managing director of Football Factory said that he was pleased with how the tournament went and that come next year it would be back for sure – better and better.
