Robin Van Persie’s hat-trick against Olympiakos, to keep Manchester United in the Champions League has seen them draw, probably their toughest possible opponents in the next round, as they face defending champions Bayern Munich.

The other English club remaining in the competition, Chelsea will take on Paris St.Germain in what should be a fascinating tie. Last year’s beaten finalists Borussia Dortmund will face Real Madrid who they beat in the semifinal a year ago.

The fourth tie is an all Spanish match-up. Barcelona who are in only third place in La Liga will battle the team that sits one place above them, Atletico Madrid in what should be an explosive affair. This tie is a real chance for Diego Simiones’s men to prove their credentials in Spain and in Europe.

The first leg of each tie will be played at, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris St. Germain and Manchester United respectively, on April 1 or 2. with the return leg a week later.
