Netball Jamaica supports Romelda

Netball Jamaica through its’  PRO Karen Rosen  today came out in support of Sunshine Girl, Romelda Aiken, who has gone public with her recent struggle with Cyber bullying .  Aiken who is a key member of the Queensland Firebirds netball club is also being supported by the management of the club and her team members.

Netball Jamaica through its’  PRO Karen Rosen  today came out in support of Sunshine Girl, Romelda Aiken, who has gone public with her recent struggle with Cyber bullying .  Aiken who is a key member of the Queensland Firebirds netball club is also being supported by the management of the club and her team members.

“Romelda is very brave” Rosen said.  “She recognizes her position as a role model….and has decided to make the issue public so that she can be a lesson to other young girls”.  “Social media is great for interaction and communication but there are dangers lurking and the more we talk about these things publicly is the more we can protect our young people….especially our girls”

Cyber stalking is much more common than the average person might think she went on to say. 

Netball Jamaica is fully supporting Romelda and Netball Queensland in the management of this issue.

The matter is under investigation by Australian officials.
