The Jamaica team will boast a fine blend of players that includes CFU Championship MVP Jamaica based Khadija Shaw, Florida Based CFU Tournament Golden Boot winner Kayla Gray, Canada based markswoman Oshay Nelson-Lawes, South Florida based Nicole Harris, Mckenzie Marsh and team Captain Marlo Sweatman, among others.

The team will also welcome back veteran player Trudi Carter who currently studies and play in the USA after accepting a soccer scholarship to attend Navarro College (Melbourne, Florida) in 2013. Trudi was instrumental in helping Navarro College make it to the NJCAA District 1 Championship to close out the 2013 season.

Hosting a pre-tournament camp and playing in friendly matches outside Jamaica prior to the CONCACAF tournament will be a precedent setting event for our U-20 Women’s team. We hope breaking our history of showing up at major qualifying tournaments to play our first competitive match at the kickoff of our first game; will improve the team’s chance to advance to the World Cup.

The team will have the opportunity during camp to face competitive female teams from the south Florida area similar to the teams they will face at the CONCACAF tournament in the Cayman Islands January 9th-19th.
