Hydel Prep are hunting Alberga Cup glory this year and they got off to a fairly good start on the opening day of the season when they dispatched Liberty Prep 4-1 at the Stadium East field.

Hydel Prep are hunting Alberga Cup glory this year and they got off to a fairly good start on the opening day of the season when they dispatched Liberty Prep 4-1 at the Stadium East field.

An early brace from captain Dushane Bernard set them on their way before two second half goals sealed the win for Hydel.  Liberty did manage to get a consolation goal but never looked threatening throughout the game.

Junior Bryan, head coach of Hydel was pleased with the win, “It was a fairly good game for an opener. I am fairly pleased with the performance of both teams. We should have scored more goals but they were a bit anxious. They are only under-12 so anything can be expected, but overall it was a fairly good game.”
