Nomination Date set for WNA Elections 2013

Nomination for officers to the Executive Committee of the Westmoreland Netball Association (WNA) was declared open at a meeting of the current executive and club presidents on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Manning’s School, Savanna-la-mar by incumbent President Ms. Audrey Thompson.

Nomination for officers to the Executive Committee of the Westmoreland Netball Association (WNA) was declared open at a meeting of the current executive and club presidents on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Manning’s School, Savanna-la-mar by incumbent President Ms. Audrey Thompson.

 The seventeen (17) registered clubs have until 5:00pm Thursday, November 14, 2013 to nominate persons to fill the nine available positions; namely, President; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Vice Presidents; Secretary; Assistant Secretary; Treasurer; Assistant Treasurer; and Public Relations Officer. The current Executive was elected on October 18, 2012.

Elections will be held on November 21 at 5:00pm at Manning’s School.

Draw for Roger Clarke Rally

 The Meeting also saw the draw for playing positions in the 2013 Roger Clarke Netball Rally being completed with fourteen of the clubs fielding sixteen teams set to compete in separate Junior and Senior sections.

Among the Juniors, Straths, Mannng’s School, Ville Twisters and New Market Oval are drawn in Group 1; while Savanna A, Mix Strykers B, Petersfield High and Jerusalem Mountain are in Group 2.

The Seniors draw for Group 1 consists of Westlanders, Savannah, Unlimited and Gold Star; and Group 2 has BCLS, Harvesters, Cassius and defending Rally Champions Mix Strykers A.

The Rally takes place on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at New Market Oval, Savanna-la-mar beginning 9:00am
