Hue banned till May 2014 – Fraser till August 2017

 Jermaine Hue has been declared ineligible for a period of nine(9) months until 6 May 2014 from participating in any competition which covers all types of matches, including domestic international friendly and official or other sport related activity, after being found guilty by a FIFA Disciplinary Committee for using a banned steroid.

 The steroid in question is known to help in the reduction of inflammation although it is not considered a performance enhancing agent. It however, is known to reduce the time it normal takes for certain types of injuries to heal and hence is placed on a banned list.

 

Dr. Carlton Fraser, who gave Hue the steroid, was declared ineligible for a period of four(4) years until 6th August,2017 from participating in any competition which covers all types of matches, including domestic international friendly and official or other sport related activity.

 

The decisions were made yesterday following a teleconference meetings between the FIFA Disciplinary Committee and Dr. Carlton Fraser and  Jermaine Hue. 

 Jermaine Hue’s lasted for 19 minutes while Dr. Fraser’s hearing lasted for about 50 minutes.  The interviews were amicable between the parties and Mr. Jermaine Hue and Dr. Fraser answered the questions in a forthright manner.
