Premier League trio chasing Willian

The Premier League trio in the form of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in the services of Brazilian playmaker Willian of Anzhi Makhachkala, according to the Daily Express.

The 25-year-old moved to Russia from Shakhtar Donetsk only in January, but is keen to leave the Russian big spenders.

Willian was keen to leave Shakhtar to play in a top league so he could improve his chances of playing for Brazil but only Anzhi was able to match his valuation.

Wilian was always of interest to the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham as he impressed in the Champions League along with other members of a very good Shakhtar team.

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has been a long time admirer of the Brazilian from his time as the Chelsea manager. He also wanted to bring the 25-year-old to White Hart Lane last summer when he was unveiled as their new manager, but couldn’t meet the value that Shakhtar wanted for his services.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is also known as a big fan of Willian but has so far failed to land his man. New manager Jose Mourinho is now keen on the Brazilian as he looks to bolster his attacking options at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian would add more creativity to the Chelsea midfield as he would join the likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Andre Schurrle.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rogers is now keen on the 25-year-old as he looks to build a team that can take Liverpool back into the top four. Rogers missed out on highly rated Armenian Henrikh Mkhitaryan who opted to join Borussia Dortmund and so he is now determined to bring the hugely talented Brazilian to Anfield.

Willian is not short of options but he may be lured to a club that offers Champions League football. Despite all the interests, the Brazilian won’t come cheap and only a bid of about £30million will be good enough to convince Anzhi to let him leave the club.
