Chelsea FC takes on Tottenham in another Battle of the Bridge

Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday for their week 10 fixture against Chelsea. The London derby sets up for a cracking encounter as both teams go head to head to grab all three points. The Lilywhites are currently second in the table with 20 points one place ahead of Chelsea, who sits in third place on 18 points.

Lampard’s men have a two-day advantage of rest over Jose Mourinho’s Spurs because of their respective European obligations. Chelsea traveled to Rennes on Tuesday, securing their place in the round of sixteen of the Champions League with a 2-1 victory. However, Tottenham will have to wait until Thursday to travel to Ludogorets Razgrad for their Europa League encounter.

This season, Tottenham has won all their away games and hopes to continue their unbeaten on-the-road form in Chelsea’s backyard. Chelsea have won their last three games against Tottenham in the Premier League and have won eight of their last ten home matches since the 2018-2019 season.

A win for Tottenham Hotspur would give Mourinho his fifth consecutive win this season and the club’s first time doing so since the 2018-2019 season and take them back to the top of the table where last weekend. A draw would be enough to take them top on goal difference above Liverpool who have 21 points.

Frank Lampard is searching for his third consecutive win over his former coach Mourinho as they look to continue their unbeaten run in the league. A win over Tottenham will take them to 21 points and top of the league.

Tammy Abraham would like to continue his goal-scoring form as he looks forward to scoring in his third consecutive game. He has played eight matches, having scored three times with one assist. Kane is expected to lead from the front for Spurs, continuing his impressive form so far this season. The English captain and Spur’s talisman has played nine games so far this season, scoring seven goals and having nine assists. His partnership with Son Heung-min has been the most deadly in the premier league this season.
