Next FIFA Women’s Football Coaching Course in Jamaica set for June

The Jamaica Football Federation will be hosting a FIFA Women’s Football Coaching Course, June 20 – 24. This is part of the Federation’s 2016 Women’s Development Plan which has as one of its objectives to raise the competence and knowledge of coaches in charge of female players.
 
The course which will be held at the at the JFF Football Center, UWI Mona will be conducted under the guidance of FIFA Instructor, Dawn Scott. Instructor Scott is currently the Fitness Coach for the US Women’s National team and has served as a Sports Science coach for all the women’s national teams in the United States. She served in a similar capacity for the English FA women’s teams.
 
The JFF has targeted coaches of parish teams including coaches involved in the current JFF National U15 Girls Challenge Cup; coaches at the school girl level; Women’s League and National Coaches.
 
Some of the topics to be covered in the one week course are: 
  • Developing Aerobic Fitness
  • The Demands of football for female Players
  • Periodisation
  • Match Analysis
  •  
Interested persons can apply through the JFF. The deadline for applications is June 8.
