The Board of the Professional Football Association of Jamaica (PFAJ), the governing body for Jamaica’s premier league has laid down the law for Montego Bay United after the club’s President, Orville Powell, threatened that his team would not be participating in the final if the announced starting time of 4:00pm was not adjusted to a later time.

In a release late Wednesday the PFAJ made it clear that stiff sanctions would be applied if the team that has qualified for their third straight final failed to show as expected.

Interestingly, no Mobay United representative showed for the manadatory press conference held on the premises of the league’s title sponsors Red Stripe, this morning.

When quizzed about what actions would be taken by the PFAJ following the Mobay United boycott, the PFAJ President Mr. Andrew Price would only say that there would be santions, but failed to elaborate.
