If you listen to the words of Nicaragua coach, Henry Duarte, you will know that his team plans to take all three points in their first leg World Cup qualifier against Jamaica on Friday night inside the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

Nicaragua has gotten by Anguilla by an aggregate score of 8-0 and Suriname 4-1 on their way to facing Jamaica. They have been scoring goals at will and do not intent to stop doing so now.

“The players are getting better and better with each game,” said Duarte as he addressed the media after a training session at the Stadium East field on Wednesday morning.

“The players know that playing against Jamaica will not be easy but they are highly motivated.”

The Costa Rican born Duarte is hoping to catch the Jamaicans napping just like they did their previous opponents.
“Suriname and Anguilla did not know much about us and took us for granted. We are hoping Jamaica does the same so that they can be surprised by us,” he continued.

“Up to now we have not lost any games, whether official or friendly. So we are confident that the team intends to win and will play to win.”

Duarte and his charges may find it just a little bit harder to get by the Caribbean champions on Friday night.
