Jamaica rebounded from a gut wrenching loss to rivals England when they stopped Scotland 71-24 on Monday, while shooting at an unerring accuracy of 93% in a totally dominating performance.

Jhaniele Fowler-Reid (59/62) set the tone on offence in the first quarter as she hit all 13 goals from 13 attempts as the Sunshine Girls led 13-6 at the first break on the back of 100% accuracy.

Jamaica improved on both ends of the court in the second quarter slamming in 23 goals while limiting Scotland to just 4 for a half time lead of 36-10 while maintaining the shooting accuracy of 95%.

The third quarter was more of the same as the Minneth Reynolds coached ladies continued to pour in the goals. The 54-17 lead with three quarters of the game played meant that the Scots had been limited to single figures on offence by a stingy Jamaican defence.

The final quarter proved to be more of the same for both countries as the Caribbean team continued to dominate at both ends of the floor. Unable to match the speed and athleticism of the Jamaicans, the team from the British Isles was thumped by 47 goals as Jamaica hit 71 goals from 76 attempts for a 93% overall accuracy.

Jamaica confirmed their second place in Pool B behind England and will move on to the qualification round where they face New Zealand on Tuesday at 2:20 local time.
