Jamaica Tallawahs hunt three straight wins when they take on the Barbados Tridents tonight at Sabina Park at 6pm. The Tallawahs have defeated the St. Lucia Zouks and the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel to sit third in the tables and will be looking to do nothing different in front of what is expected to be the biggest crowd at Sabina Park of all the matches thus far.

Barbados Tridents defeat the Tallawahs in their back yard a few weeks ago and will look to do so now in the Tallawahs back yard to ensure they stay at the top of the table. The Tallawahs have been growing in confidence putting in a two good performances at home and winning both games with a lot of comfort.

Points at this stage of the competition are very critical as every team will want to be a top the table when the first round is complete. The team that leads the table on points will automatically earn a spot in the final, while third place and fourth place play each other. The winner will go on to play against the team in second place and the winner of that encounter then plays the team that was automatically qualified for the finals in Trinidad and Tobago.

Barbados sit atop the table on eight points, playing seven matches with a bigger net run rate than the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots also on eight points, who have played one more game than the Tridents. The Jamaica Tallawahs also have eight points playing just six games followed by the St Lucia Zouks on seven points from there eight matches followed by Guyana Amazon Warriors on four points from there five game played and the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel on three points from there four games played.
