Jamaica Football Federation & Romai Sportswear to unveil new National Kit with Grand Free Concert

Also in the picture is Cedella Marley, CEO of Tuff Gong and Ambassador for the Reggae Girls. Marley is responsible for the design of the new kit to be provided by Romai and worn by the Reggae Boyz. The JFF and Romai have agreed a four year deal which will see all the national teams provided with gear and other equipment.

Kingston Jamaica: The Jamaica Football Federation in partnership with Romai Sportswear will unveil the new national kit for the Reggae Boyz and Reggae Girlz with a grand free concert on Saturday, May 16, 2015 on the Waterfront Downtown, Kingston staring at 6:00pm. Headlined by dancehall powerhouse artistes Cham, Bounty Killa, Lady Saw and Capleton, the concert is expected to create a festive atmosphere to commemorate the four-year agreement between the JFF and Romai Sportswear.

The JFF has received significant support from the United Arab Emirates-based sporting company, through a kit contract which will see all 11 national teams, both male and female, being outfitted by Romai Sportswear.

Captain Horace Burrell, President of the Federation notes that, “this is indeed a momentous occasion for Jamaica’s football and by extension brand Jamaica, Romai has committed to the long-term development of football in Jamaica through this partnership, and for that the JFF is extremely grateful. He added that, “the goal of the Federation is to now ensure that the activities under this agreement will help to keep Jamaica’s football programmes on the path to success”

The concert which will be streamed live to the Diaspora (UK, USA and Canada) is a part of the JFF and Romai strategy to support the merchandising aspect of the new deal. Burrell notes that, “the merchandising side to the partnership, will see replicas of the outfits, both male and female versions available to Jamaicans at home and in the Diaspora. Designed by Cedella Marley, the jerseys are unique and creative in design and are representative of the vibrant Jamaican culture.

Jamaicans are being encouraged to come out and show their support for the Reggae Boyz and Reggae Girlz while enjoying great performances from some of dancehall greats.
