Class: 2

2014 Champs performances- Class two 800m ( 1:53:43) and 1500m (4:04.85 ) Class 2 overall Male Champion

Western Championships: Class Two 1500m ( ) 800m (1:55.10 seconds)

N.B. James is double record holder at Western Championship.

2015 Season Build up – James Kicked started his 2015 campaign at the Wesley Powell Invitational in December with a double victory in the 1000m ( 2:41:41) and 600m ( 1:25:31).

Followed at the Pure Wata/ JC Invitational, capturing heat 3 of the Boys Class 2, 800m with a time of 2:40:37 for second place overall.

He picked up the pace over at the the Puma/JAAA Charlie Fuller meet at Kirkvine where he broke two records.

He took care of the 800m in 2 minutes, 03.70 seconds; to erase Lewisville’s Orette Ramikee’s 2 minutes 04.00 seconds set in 2002. He returned to take the 400m in 50.70 seconds, running out of lane nine an erasing Kingston College’s Chadayne Walker’s 51 seconds set in 2012.

STETHS Invitational: second at 400m hurdles (56.84) & member of 1600m relay winning quartet.
2015 Western Champs – retained his titles in the 800m in record style ( 1:55.10).

Speaking with Yardie Sports after his performance at the Pure Wata/JC Invitational, James said that he hopes to improve his stamina and energy during his races going forward in an effort to secure double gold at Champs 2015 in which event his coach choose to put him in.

Main Challengers/competitors – Fellow teammate Shamar Salmon,who won the 800 in a time final at the JC invitational 2015 and arch rival Rayon Butler of Holmwood technical High school.

Goal/s for Champs 2015- “To capture two gold medals for his school and to remain unbeaten at Boys Champs 2015” .

From the looks of things, James may just be competing in the Boys Open 400m hurdles, going up against the likes of defending champion Jaheel Hyde.
