Two former Premier League champions, Boys Town and Waterhouse will lock horns at Collie Smith Drive this Sunday at 3:00 pm in what promises to be a mouth watering affair as both teams seek to achieve different objectives.
Boys Town sitting one place above the drop zone on 19 points from 19 games is in desperate need of three point. Waterhouse on the other hand is sitting in second position on 34 points, seven behind league leaders Arnett Gardens and they are looking to close the gap at the top.
When these two teams meet spectators are given value for money. In the last six meetings Waterhouse have won five scoring 8 goals, conceding only once and drawing the last game played at Drewsland Mini Stadium 0-0.
With two of the league’s hottest strikers on either team, with 8 goals apiece, goals might come in abundance. Rafiek Thomas is expected to lead the charge for Boys Town while young striker Shamar Nicholas is on National duties. Xavian Virgo is still out on card suspension and Daemion Benjamin is out injured. They will however welcome back Captain Micheal Campbell who was substituted in the last game with a slight hamstring injury. Boys Town has enjoyed most of their success at home this season and the fans are expecting a classic show piece from their beloved Red Brigade.
Waterhouse have recovered from a dip in form in the latter part of last year mainly because of key players being missing. Back to back wins sees them heading back in the right direction. Eight goals in their last two games is evidence that Waterhouse is not short on firepower. Influential star man Vincent Earl and club captain Richard “Spoon” McCallum are still on the list of injured players.
The absence of Earl is not noticeable based on the work rate of Juvaune Bejamin and Tremaine Stewart. Benjamin’s pace and agility in the middle of the park and the driving runs of Stewart are enough to unsettle any defence in the league. Waterhouse has a very strong bench with teenage sensation Nathaniel Leslie and the silky smooth Romario Campbell who can change a game at any minute. With a potent record against Boys Town and their strong away record to boot, Anthony Patrick and his team will be hoping to return to Drewsland with three points in the bag.
