Netball Jamaica will kick off its 2015 3-Test series against England with school tours starting with Herbert Morrison on Monday. They will then go to rural netball powerhouse Holmwood Technical High School on Wednesday and Foga Road in Clarendon on Thursday.

Several members of the Sunshine Girls team will join up with former Sunshine Girl Shamera Sterling at Herbert Morrison Technical High School. Sterling went back home to finish her studies while playing for the school this year.

The Girls will interact with the students and netballers at the schools. The will also join their training sessions and teach them some of the skills that helped them to be ranked 4th in the world.

Some of the netballers who will be visiting the schools include Jhaniele Fower-Reid who is originally from Montego Bay and was today listed on the world’s top ten list for the second year in a row. The group also include Vangelee Williams, Thristina Harwood, Nicole Dicon, Khadijah Williams and Shanice Beckford.

Dixon hails from Holmwood Technical where she was the team captain.

The Sunshine Girls team is currently in serious preparation for the up-coming series which is geared towards the 2015 World Championship later in the year. Preparation is on-going despite the problems being encountered in finding a proper training venue as they are not able to trains at the Leila Robinson Courts or the National Indoor Sports Centre.
