Jamaica’s only entrants in the 2014 CONCACAF Champions League, Waterhouse FC, face a must win situation tonight when they take on DC United in their final group game at the National Stadium in Kingston Jamaica starting at 7:00pm.

Waterhouse lost the away game to the MLS team by a single goal in a match they dominated for long periods. Buoyed by their away performance in Washington and a comprehensive 4-1 win over Tauro FC of Panama at the “Office”, the Anthony Patrick coached team is expected to go all out in attack. In a game where less than three points will be meaningless, Waterhouse know that they must win or say goodbye to the competition.

DC United failed to play a number of their regular starters in the home tie but is expected to strengthen their team for today’s vital encounter. Speaking at the pre-match press conference at the hospitality room of the National Stadium, United coach Ben Olsen intimated that there will be changes tonight.

“I won’t give away my line-up,” he said in response to the question of who will be in the starting eleven, “But it is safe to say that there will be changes and you may see more regular starters on the team sheet come kick-off.”
Patrick says his team is confident and will be going all out for the three points. “We will be playing with a lot of confidence, we believe that we can get the three points, so our intention is to do just that and see where it takes us. We will have to wait and see what happens in the two games between DC and Tauro after that but for now we will focus on the job at hand.”

Waterhouse captain Richard “Spoon” McCallum said, “We have exceeded all expectations by getting to this stage. We have been very consistent for the last nine months, so we want to go out there and get those three points.
“No MLS team has ever beaten Tauro so we are hoping that they will do us a favour, but for now we have to focus on this game that is ahead of us.”

Waterhouse fans are expected to pack the stands as they support the team in the famous Blue and Yellow stripes, while reports are that a large contingent of DC United supporters are flying in today for the game.
