With Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina favourites to advance from group Fin the FIFA World Cup, Ghana and the USA face off in a very crucial game with Argentina already on three points. Victory for either team will exert a lot of pressure on Bosnia and in their first ever World Cup it could be too much for them to handle.

Ghana is in their third World Cup and has advanced to the knock-out stages in the previous two and therefore they will be looking to bag all three points in a bid to exert pressure on Bosnia. The Americans will always fancy themselves against anyone because they have a winning mentality and coach Jurgen Klinsmann will let them think they can get a result.

The Black Stars should start with Adam Kwarasey in goal while Evian’s Jonathan Mensah should feature in central defense with Samuel Inkoom of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. Porto’s Daniel Opare should feature at right back with Harrison Afful of Esperance likely to start in the left back position.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Milan’s Michael Essien should start in central midfield with Marseille’s Andre Ayew, Kevin-Prince Boateng of Schalke and Juventus’ Kwadwo Asamoah providing the attacking threat behind their star striker Asamoah Gyan.

Klinsmann will have Everton’s Tim Howard in goal while LA Galaxy’s Omar Gonzales in central defense with Kansas City’s Matt Besler. Fabian Johnson of Borussia Monchengladbach could be called upon at left back while Stoke City’s Geoff Cameron could be given the nod at right back.

FC Toronto’s Michael Bradley will be partnered with Besiktas’ Jermaine Jones in central midfield for the US, while the attacking threat should be provided by captain Clint Dempsey of Seattle Sounders, Graham Zusi of Kansas City and Alejandro Bedoya of Nantes behind Sunderland’s Jozy Altidore up front.

Ghana is expected to be victorious with the quality they have throughout their team. They are a very disciplined team tactically and can cause problems for most teams in world football.

The Stars and Stripes has been improving slowly on the world stage and with Klinsmann and a young vibrant team a lot can be expected from them at all times.

Players to Watch:

Ghana – Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Kevin-Prince Boateng

USA – Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore
