Rockers level series at 2 a piece

The 2014 INSPORTS/Southern Conference Community Basketball final will go to a fifth and decisive game as Arnett Gardens Rockers defeated Waterhouse Blazers 75-66 to level the series.

Having lost the first two of this best-of-five contest, Arnett gallantly fought back to win games three and last night’s game four played at Arnett Gardens.

Arnel Campbell (20 points and 8 rebounds) and Delano Mallett (21 points and 9 assists) delivered a game-leveling victory despite the Blazers’ best effort on an intense night.

Blazers’ Sean McLain had a game high 24 points, while teammates Cordell Grant (17 points) and Raymond Layne (9 points) offered support which was not enough to clinch the series.

Game 5 is June 11 at Waterhouse, starting 7:00 pm.

Meantime Spanish Town Meadows clinch third spot after beating Swift Sons 64-62 in a one-off contest.
