The permutations and combinations are many but for one out of three teams, at the end of ninety minutes plus stoppage time they will be staring down the barrel of what if. Former premier league team Reno FC and first time hopefuls Barbican FC and Jamalco FC, all have a chance to gain promotion to the Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) next season but one will fail today!

The three teams are locked on eight points and on paper Barbican has the best chance of qualification as they play away to an already eliminated Axum FC. It will not be easy for the KSAFA representatives however, as they have picked up most of their points at home while finding it difficult on the road.

Seven of the points Barbican gained were at home. They defeated Reno and Axum but drew with Jamalco. The other point secured was a draw at Reno on Sunday. Now Barbican holds their destiny in their own hands and this maybe the last chance at playing premier league football.

The game between Jamalco and Reno promises to be an instant classic. Both teams have it all to play for and having seen their team begin the play-offs like a house on fire, Reno supporters must be wondering how it has come down to this. Jamalco on the other hand has remained resolute and must be backing their chances on ‘decision day’ – to complete and unlikely win and advance to the RSPL.

A draw will be enough for Reno who have a better goal difference while Jamalco must win top progress and will hope that home support will help them to inch over the line. Both games begin at 3:30pm.
