A press launch is scheduled for this Monday, April 28 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Leila Robinson courts to announce Seven Seas sponsorship of the Sunshine Girls through its Jointcare Max and Multibionta products.  The sponsorship will be in the form of cash and products.

This partnership developed as a result of Netball Jamaica’s billboard campaign and Deborah Allen of HD Hopwood who recognized that this was a potential win-win situation for both Seven Seas and Netball Jamaica.

Seven Seas through its Jointcare Max and Multibionta products which are geared towards women, is an ideal partnership for the Sunshine Girls as the products help to strengthen and maintain mobility of joints, which is a key area for Jamaican netballers who play on hard surfaces continually.

According to Marva Bernard, president of Netball Jamaica, “I am excited that the billboard campaign borne fruit.  This partnership with Seven Seas is timely in the run up to the Commonwealth Games and the Netball World Cup next year, as the young ladies will require all the assistance they can get to alleviate the pounding and stress on the joints that outdoor surfaces cause.”

There are nineteen Sunshine Girls in the squad in addition to Jhaniele Fowler-Reid and Romelda Aiken who are playing professionally overseas).  The squad is currently preparing for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland which is scheduled for July of this year.
