The West Indies have defeated England and Sri Lanka in two warm up matches ahead of Sunday’s start, signaling their intentions of retaining the crown they won when they defeated Sri Lanka in the final two years ago.

 

With opener Chris Gayle seemingly over his recent injury worries, this will be good news for a team brimming with confidence. Blessed with talent throughout the entire team, the Caribbean team are undoubtedly one of the team’s being tipped to go all the way.

 

Cameron told Yardie Sports, “we are quite confident of retaining the title and as can be seen on the television, the team is in excellent spirits at the moment.”

 

The West Indies will open their campaign with match against India on Sunday.
