Kingston, Jamaica – Greater Portmore Primary ripped the form book the threads when they stunned overwhelming favourites Naggo Head Primary 11-8 in extra-time to claim the INSPORTS Portmore Primary Schools Netball title on December 4.

Beaten twice by Naggo Head in the preliminary round, Greater Portmore capitalized on their nervous opponents, rallying from two goals down at the end of the third quarter to tie the game seven apiece after regulation time at the Independence City Primary School.

But in the six minutes of additional time played, Greater Portmore, inspired by centre Khrisann Russell, who later was selected MVP of the final, outscored their rivals 4-1.

At the final whistle a shell-shocked Naggo Head could only watch their opponents deservedly celebrate an amazing triumph.

Meantime, Independence City Primary, who copped three major awards overall, defeated Portsmouth Primary 11-7 in the third-place play-off.
