Inverness Primary Crowned JaVA/St. Ann U-13 Schools Volleyball Champions

Led by an MVP performance from their Captain, Khouri Watson, Inverness Primary won all four matches they played in the JaVA/St Ann U-13 School Volleyball Parish Finals, held at Run Away Bay All Age to take the parish title.

Inverness first got pass St Ann’s Bay Primary 15-10, 15-8 before defeating Parry Town 15-8, 15- 11.  They then defeated Servite Primary 15-10, 15-12 and, in the match of the unbeaten teams on the day, they got the better of Steer Town Primary 11-15, 15-11, 11-7.

 

Steer Town were runner-up, with victories over Parry Town, Priory and St Anns Bay.  Their Captain Linchrist McBean was adjudged to have displayed noteworthy skills and was awarded the President’s Madd Skills Award.

 

Inverness and Steer Town have secured their qualification to the JaVA U-13 School Volleyball National Finals at the National Stadium on 11 December 2013.

 

Priory Primary, with victories over Servite and St Ann’s Bay, placed third.  Parry Town, Servite and St Ans Bay finished fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.
