WNA Elections -23 nominated to fill 9 offices on WNA Executive Committee 2013-2014

Nominations for officers to the Executive Committee of the Westmoreland Netball Association (WNA) closed at 6:30pm Thursday, November 14, 2013 during a meeting of affiliates at Manning’s School, Savanna-la-mar, attended by eleven of the seventeen registered clubs.

Nominations for officers to the Executive Committee of the Westmoreland Netball Association (WNA) closed at 6:30pm Thursday, November 14, 2013 during a meeting of affiliates at Manning’s School, Savanna-la-mar, attended by eleven of the seventeen registered clubs.

 Twenty-three persons were nominated to fill the nine available offices namely, President; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Vice Presidents; Secretary; Assistant Secretary; Treasurer; Assistant Treasurer; and Public Relations Officer.

Some fifty delegates are eligible to vote in the Elections on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Manning’s School, where the polls are open from 4:00pm to 6:00pm; to be followed immediately by counting of the ballots.

The media is invited to cover the event and participate as independent observers.

Incumbent Audrey Thompson and Shauna Kae Isaacs have been nominated for the Presidency, while three persons have been nominated for the 1st Vice President spot and six each for both the 2nd and 3rd Vice Presidents’ office.

The largest number nominated (eight) is for the post of Secretary while incumbent Public Relations Officer and Director of the Elections, Haile Mika’el, has been nominated unopposed to continue in the office for a second straight term.

The current Executive was elected on October 18, 2012.
