Wesley Brown leads pros in Alliance Buccaneers golf tournament

At the end of day one of the Alliance Buccaneers Memorial Golf Tournament, Wesley Brown with a score of two under par or seventy leads the group of ten professional golfers.  Fabian Campbell who recently turned pro is just behind Brown after ending the day on one under par seventy-one.  Paul Warren lies in third position with a score of seventy-five or three over par.

At the end of day one of the Alliance Buccaneers Memorial Golf Tournament, Wesley Brown with a score of two under par or seventy leads the group of ten professional golfers.  Fabian Campbell who recently turned pro is just behind Brown after ending the day on one under par seventy-one.  Paul Warren lies in third position with a score of seventy-five or three over par.

 

 Brown and Campbell both said that the course was playing ‘slow’ which is different from what is normally expected.  Brown said that he had a tough time on hole number seven and number ten however the other holes were good for him as he dominated the par fives.  His expectation for tomorrow is to play well and see the score at the end of tournament.  Campbell on the other hand was looking forward to maintaining a steady game and end with a good result.

 

The top three in the ladies section are last year’s winner Jodi Munn Barrow who shot four over seventy-six.  Second place Maggie Lyn is five strokes behind on eighty-one while Michele Gabay is a further two strokes behind on eighty-three.

 

The Men’s category is lead jointly by Norval Bunting and Mark Newnham who boast scores of two over par seventy-four each.  Sean Morris is in third position after ending on seventy-five or three over par.

 

Tommy Lee, Robert Chin and Rory Jardine are the top three golfers in the Men Senior category.  Lee’s score is on seventy-eight followed by closely by Chin and Jardine who are on seventy-nine each.

 

Patrick Gordon with a score of seventy-nine is ahead in Men Super Senior category.  He is just ahead of Guyan Arscott who is on eighty. Dudley Wilson trails Arscott by one stroke on eighty-one or nine over par

 

One hundred and seventeen golfers took to the Caymanas Golf Club for day one of Alliance Buccaneers Memorial Golf Tournament with the first tee time at 6:50 for Andre Foote, Stephen Hill and Cedric Blair.   Professional Wesley Brown teed off at midday.  The professionals are competing for a purse of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars
